GREAT service, and the food was good! The food took a while to come out, but we also had a large party. They were very accommodating. We brought in a cake, and there was a cake cutting fee, but there was a bit of a discrepancy on the pricing. Overall great experience.

The ambiance was nice. The food though was hit or miss. One of the two entrees was literally inedible. It was gnocci, which is largely difficult to make inedible. An appetizer we did not send back, but the flavoring was not evenly mixed so you'd have one extremely salty bite followed by a tasteless one.

The service sucked. While the food is tasty, the service has done down hill a lot. The presentation of the food is not what is used to be. The bottom of the restaurant smelled like fish. This used to be a nice place, I will probably never go back based on this sub par experience.

I really enjoyed my first experience here. The staff was attentive, friendly, good natured, and even a little fun. I had the steak-frites, well prepared with a little twist. All of the food was very tasty! The wine list has some nice variety. An all around great experience!

Had a great brunch with very good selections and 3 courses + drink for $29. Generous portions and very attentive service. Marred only by reception area downstairs in entry. One employee having bad (or good?) day entertained other staff with slamming items and doors and dropping f -bombs. Off-putting and not a good introduction to the establishment.

This is my favorite in Silver Spring! I love the atmosphere, with its many different locations in one, and the food is excellent. It's great that they've added to the menu of sandwich and non-entree options -- the burger is one of the best you'll find, and I love that there are now tacos! The entrees are beautifully done as well. There are also great beer choices (on tap and in bottles), which we consider to be a very important factor. Enjoy!

It was okay. Deviled eggs were great. Mahi mahi was overcooked. Beet salad was crowded into a bowl. Beer list was good. Ambiance is ok. Nice to go to a building that actually has parking in Downtown Silver Spring. The little lot behind it works quite nicely.

These guys were way out of rhythm for brunch. I have had few problems in previous visits for brunch, but this time they were really understaffed. We had to ask for everything twice and the servers were literally running across the dining room trying to keep up. They need to hire a few more people for brunch service.

This has been one of our favorite places for a nice night out close to home. Hadn't been there in a few months. Menu has changed--more variety, but the quality seems to have gone down. Service was particularly bad (e.g., cocktails ordered first but didn't arrive until after the food and then only when I asked what happened to them, waiter seemed unfamiliar with the menu, brought one person's food 15 minutes before the others, etc.). Hoping that was a fluke. Having lost Jackie's, 8407 was our fav!

This was a date night for us and we really enjoyed it., mostly,,, we were seated in a table between three families with young children who were very loud and disruptive. There were other tables but the host seemed to place a higher priority on filling in the space than in paying attention to those dynamics. We will be back but recommend making a special request in the reservation to seat away from loud parties

The service and food were very good, and the dining room surprisingly and pleasantly quiet for our business meeting. The menu is wonderfully varied with several options available for people with differing needs - vegetarian, seafood, spicy, comfort... I'd like to add that the Thai curry soup was amazing! I will definitely go again for both business and non-business occasions.

The menu has been expanded since the last time I was at 8407. There are several new Tex-Mex options (queso fundido, enchiladas, fajitas, etc) that I don't recall from previous visits. They still many (if not all) of the old favorites, and the quality is still very good. It's a very pleasant place for dinner, and has the bonus of being right next to the Silver Spring Metro, which makes it a good rendezvous point for friends coming from other parts of town.

I reserved a table for 11 at 8407 Kitchen Bar for my department's Appreciation Lunch - so glad I did! The service was exceptional and the food was beyond tasty. Everyone was pleased. I'm a fan and will be returning personally.

I've been to this restaurant at least 20 times, and as always, the food and drinks were very, very good. The service is usually excellent, and this time it wasn't. The waitress didn't seem to be totally present, and she forgot part of our appetizer order. However, the other wait staff was very attentive to our drinks, the ambiance was wonderful, and the changing menu keeps things interesting.

I was completely underwhelmed by 8407 Kitchen Bar. The restaurant was out of 5-6 dishes on their menu. I ordered the Filet Mignon which had no seasoning and a wine sauce that tasted awful. The dish also came with sides that weren't listed in the description. Lastly, it was the first time I've ordered charcuterie anywhere and it not come with some sort of cheese. It was just meats, bread and mustard. I wouldn't go back; the food was such a disappointment it almost ruined date night.

I used to love this place, but I won't go again. After a significant wait, we buttonholed someone to take our order, and he did so resentfully. Salad greens were wilted in both our orders. My roasted chicken was mushy. Servers seemed fully involved with one another and not interested in us. Getting the check took a long time, and paying it, another long time. This was the most inhospitable treatment I can remember anywhere, and it was not busy on the Thursday night we were there.

We had a very pleasant experience with a multi-generational group celebrating a 94th birthday. The menu is interesting and diverse. The "small plates" are generous, and plenty for light eaters. Decor is modern and attractive. Good service. The main dining room is on the upper level, there is no elevator and the rest rooms are on the main level. So, be aware if stairs are an issue. Also, parking in the public garage was plentiful, but a bit of a walk. So, drop your guests off before you park.
