L'Auberge Chez Francois Ratings and Reviews
The food was wonderful! I first took my husband there for his 40th birthday. On Sunday we celebrated his 75th birthday. We have been celebrating special occasionals there for over 40 years. We love your restaurant and most especially your food and service. Thank you so much!
My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary with a wonderful dining experience at L'Auberge Chez Francois. The food was delicious and the ambiance couldn't be beat. The dining room was lovely, the service was unrushed and friendly, and we could actually hear each other speak - a real rarity these days.
What a fantastic first dining experience at Chez Francois. My wife and I celebrated our five-year anniversary last week and I could not have wished for a better experience. I had the lobster bisque, seasonal duck salad, seafood and raspberry beignets. She tried the Roquefort salad, lobster thermador and souffle.
Not a single criticism. Amazing meal. Great cocktails. Epic service. Will do this one again, any day of the year.
We had a terrific Anniversary dinner here. Although Bothe my husband & I have lived in the area for over 30 years, it was the first time we had dinner there. Food was OUTSTANDING, waitstaff very gracious, making us feel like we were in someone's home. When they piled the desserts on us, we could eat no more! Highly recommended for its excellent cuisine and atmosphere.
We went there for our anniversary on a Sunday night, easily got a reservation on open table. The food and service were both great and the french ambiance was just right. The wine list offers a great selection of wines at fair prices. You can easily spend $100 each and we believe it is worth the price.
Over the many years we have been dining at Chez Francois we have never had any negative experience. The same high standard that has been their hallmark coupled with beautiful, peaceful location makes any visit a memorable experience.
We will return again and again especially when we can introduce a new guest to this lovely restaurant.
We have been dining @ L'Auberge Chez Francois for 30 years. Our passion is dinner on the patio in a gazebo. We had a wonderful wait staff & sommelier. The raspberry aperitif was a lovely beginning, along with the garlic toast & addictive cottage cheese & chive spread. The house salad is excellent & hubby loved his tuna martini. The orange sorbet was a nice palette cleanser. We both ordered seafood entrees & a half bottle of Viognier. Loved the lobster, crab, citrus & beurre blanc one I had. The chef sent over a terrific corn soufflé side dish. We always order dessert souffles in advance. My Grand Marnier w/ sabayon sauce was perfect! Barry's chocolate souffle will be even better next time when they give him a dark chocolate sauce! The Cappuccinos are perfection, especially when the chef sends over cookies & chocolate truffles. Spoil yourself! Make a reservation here soon.
Never disappoints! Yes, it is quite a drive to this restaurant, but it is always well worth the trip. The menu standards, such as the bouillabaisse, Dover sole and plum tart, are consistently superb and new menu items are just as fantastic - perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked. Service is impeccable yet relaxed, a combination rarely achieved in restaurants offering this caliber of dining. The wine list is not a tomb (thank goodness) and instead provides a superb selection of wines by region that range from affordable to special occasion. We're truly fortunate to have this restaurant in our area!
