First off the service was excellent. Uncannily every time I went to Google a word from the description of the menu items, the server popped up at my side to answer the question in person. The dishes were creative , attractively presented, and very tasty. I was a little disappointed that in the middle of the summer that the menu was so mushroom-centric. As a person who can't eat mushrooms this limits some of the options. However the duck liver parfait was delicious. The Crudo appetizer was delicious. The Branzino was delicious. And the desserts were delightful as well. We started with a little bit of charcuterie and cheese. Moved on to mains and dessert. The drink list was very creative as well. Overall it was a very positive experience.

Ripple is a constant favorite and go-to restaurant for my husband and me. The food is consistently good, the service is always awesome, the wines are interesting, and the atmosphere comfortable and a little bit special. Chef Marjorie rocks! (I'm a Top Chef fan!)

I had high hopes for this well-known spot with seasonal orderings, however the food was simply average especially given the cost. While the wine and cheese lists were great, the dinner menu had basic options that were overly salty and oily. The ambiance is strange--it feels like a neighborhood place but has the price of a nicer restaurant.

I love Ripple. Good restaurant for the: ambiance, staff, service, food, drinks, and creativity. Their brunch deal is great and i highly recommend it. Their brunch is inline cost-wise with brunch from other restaurants in the area, but outside of brunch they are on the pricy side.

The service was incredible. The food was very good, especially the prosciutto cheddar fritters, the duck confit, and the carrot pasta dish with lobster and morels. The morels were probably the best thing I've eaten in a long time. The portions were a little smaller than I expected, but I'm excited to go back to try the bronzino and the grilled cheese bar! The cocktails were delightful as well.

Ripple never disappoints. The food is always fabulous and so is the service. While I wish that the noise level was a little lower, the food and service makes up for it. Executive Chef Marjorie Meek Bradley has a special feel for great pasta. Her carrot cavatelli with lobster is amazing. So is the skate wing on the current menu. And the marinated blue crab is divine. Manager Caroline Blundell ensure that service is attentive but not intrusive.

Food was great as always--echoing what others said.
One nit---If in the dining room, it can get distractingly loud/hard to hear someone sitting 2 feet away. Great that this remains a popular place, but some attention to acoustics would be a good thing.

Had Sunday brunch. Got nice table in front window. Waiter Cameron very attentive. Menu seemed limited, but what we ordered was good. Sage sausages excellent, though they would look better if grilled. Plenty of refills. A nice time.

Went here because someone said it was the best meal in DC she had had in years (May). The carrot cavatelli was the standout dish. The trotter panzanella was greasy and bland, the wild mushrooms lacked salt and the deviled eggs were forgettable. May try it again later with a different menu

mediocre food still relatively expensive. very limited menu, no daily changes. not a good choice when the weather is good because the back dining room where we were seated is very far from any window. it was dark and close, almost claustraphobic. the bar area looked nicer.

Good place for brunch though wished they had more. The pastry board at Ripple was to say the least our biggest highlight of the meal. The egg white omellete was good though a bit bland. My friend who got the biscuits and gravy did not like it so just stuck with the farmers breakfast. Also, wished the menu had desserts to finish the meal. Overall, brunch was okay but the pastry board with the delicious five various patries was, in my opinion, probably the only thing worth going back for. However, I will back to try their dinner menu.
Excellent service, food was ok
Really enjoyed the service at Ripple. We had a 6:30 reservation, but it might have been unnecessary as the place did not really fill up before 7:30. Food was interesting and mostly good, though wasn't particularly fond of the halibut dish.
Fun not Stuffy
Always love Ripple. Food consistently on point and the service is always warm. If any tiny thing we seem to notice the taste of the signature cocktails can vary, but again, that is a very tiny detail and we never leave a drink unfinished! We go to Ripple when we want a relaxing experience with delicious food and zero pretension. Highly recommend.
The food at Ripple was some of the best cooking I've had in DC in quite some time. The imaginative and intelligent flavors brought out by the cooking were a real treat. We had the duckling and the lamb, and the meats themselves were actually only so-so, but the sauces were superb! Portions were not gigantic, and previous reviews of tiny portions scared us away from the cheese platters (although they sounded awesome). The appetizer portions were similarly modest, but the entrees were plentiful. Try the ice cream for dessert -- ask about the flavors; the honey-star anise was wonderful. We came early so it was quiet - probably a good bit noisier later in the evening. Because there were so few people, the service was great too.
Our experience was unbelievable. Such delicious food, such a great beer served, a fantastic experience from beginning to end. Our one hangup was a cocktail that really didn't taste that great, and our waitress took care of that promptly and fairly. My experience at Ripple set a new high for my dining experience.

Wonderful dinner and great relaxed atmosphere.
Three of us enjoyed the cheese plate and it does not disappoint. Delicious homemade jam and honey served with it.
For entrees we had the NY strip, duck and vindaloo. The duck was amazing and the plate was left clean.
Service was attentive and inviting but not too intrusive.
Great night out and delicious food.
Stellar Dining Experience
My boyfriend and I came here for his birthday, having been only once before for desserts, and we were delighted to find the whole dinner experience as wonderful as dessert. The staff is extremely knowledgeable; we trusted our waitress to select a bottle of wine for us, and it was perfect for our both of our dishes and both of our tastes. The cheese and charcuterie selection has a great variety of delicious options. The cold spring salad I got as an entree was not your traditional salad and had a surprising combination of flavors and textures that was way better than a traditional salad. Entrees were amazing; he got duck, I got lamb, and this was the portion of the meal that made him say he thought this was probably the best meal he's eaten in DC. I'd have to agree. The menu here changes seasonally, so we'll be back to try out new things throughout the year. In season when we went were strawberries and rhubarb; it was the flavor of the jam with our cheese, and the filling of the seasonal cobbler we had for dessert (both delicious). I'd also like to note that the interior design and decor of the whole restaurant is totally perfect for the modern, innovative, and sophisticated cuisine they serve.

Food and service were fabulous. Cocktail selection quite entertaining. The noise level was VERY LOUD! At a table for four talking across the table was very difficult and most times we had to lean in and repeat. they could put more sound deadening materials on the walls, which would really help..
Small but Mighty
Ripple stands out among DC's restaurants that are worth a trip. Marjorie has fashioned a delightful menu of small plates that any foodie will enjoy. Can't wait to return to try the items that didn't get ordered on this visit. Cristin's service was outstanding, adding to the experience with perfect pairings.
Interesting menu allows you to do a traditional, 3-4 course meal , or an assortment of smaller plates, or really any arrangement that suits. Very good food, not a bargain, but reasonable for the quality. The service was good, server knowledgable, although chattier than I prefer.
Overpriced good food
The food was fine. The service was ok. When asked what kind of mushrooms were in the "wild mushrooms" dish, server said he didn't know. And he didn't offer to find out.
The ceviche was bland and unevenly cut. Also.
The gnocchi was good.
I wasn't impressed with the portion sizes for the price.
There was nothing new or noteworthy about the meal. Cooked fine, but not outstanding. Unremarkable.

I cannot rave enough about Ripple. I took my boyfriend there for his birthday. From the moment we entered, we were exceptionally well treated. Our server, Kristin, was incredibly helpful. Since my boyfriend is allergic to nuts and nut oils, she went into the kitchen to go over the menu with executive chef Marjorie Meek-Bradley to make sure what dishes he could or could not eat. Based on her recommendations, we ordered the smoked halibut rilette, the spring vegetable salad, the seared octopus, seared black bass and the duck breast. We started off with the wonderful fresh-baked rolls. Each course was superb. We could not decide which we enjoyed the most because each one was so different and so well composed. The wait staff cleaned the tables and presented fresh cutlery between courses. Our glasses of water were constantly refilled. We ordered dessert, ice cream and the miso carrot cake. The ice cream had a birthday candle in it. Throughout the meal, management would come by to see how we were doing, as did Kristin. My only regret...well, two regrets...the first, that I didn't want the meal to end and secondly, not having a chance to actually meet chef Marjorie. I can see now why she came so far on "Top Chef." I wish she had won. It was an incredible evening. Thank you to everyone at the restaurant. Another plus, the restaurant is a very short walk from the Metro which made it far easier to visit rather than searching for a parking spot.

Catching up with an old friend, we were a restaurant's nightmare. 2 extremely fussy eaters (different requirements) and one "appetizers only" spent more time catching up than perusing the menu. Our server was very patient, and eventually we organized ourselves enough to order delicious drinks with entertaining names, and a couple of snacks. Despite our copious food restrictions, the menu was varied enough that we actually had difficulty making selections. All our food was great, except for something very disturbing that we think was pickled strawberries.
If I lived nearby, I would often be too tired to make dinner, and dine here instead.

Very convenient to Cleveland Park Metro. Menu has a wide range of offerings. Food is adventurous and approachable at the same time. I took my parents here (who are not "foodies" whatsoever), and they loved it. Service was excellent.
