A pleasant dinner. You can choose a side as an appetizer (the heirloom tomatoes and feta was excellent and at $8 a bargain), selection of main dishes is small but the one I chose, quinoa cakes, was very nicely prepared. If you keep it to a single glass of wine, dinner for two including tip can come in for less than $100.

So pleased with our meal and experience at Ripple. Every plate was delicious, and I still can't get over the beet salad with the most delicious date sauce ever. It was an excellent evening in every way, and it's the kind of menu, price point, and overall dining experience that I wish we had in Georgetown (which caters almost only to tourists and fast food lovers).

We've been going to Ripple a few times a year for years and have been disappointed only once (& that time the management agreed the dinner was below par & comped us--imagine). This most recent visit was again stellar. I enjoyed the duck mousse, the goat "three-ways" entree, and as too often, treated myself to the fresh-baked chocolate chip dessert. Couldn't have been better. I would also commend the friendly & efficient attention of our waiter, Ethan (?). We'll be back.

We enjoyed the experience. The service was great, and the menu was interesting. I got a skate wing for my main course. It was very soft and flavorful, but it was very salty. It could have been a much better meal with much less salt.

Ate here for a small celebration dinner for the first time. The food was excellent - interesting but not weird. Pretentious, but not too over the top. Liberal use of salt - mostly judiciously to enhance/offset other interesting flavors. Steak was very good, as well as the vegetable matter underneath it. Heirloom tomato and deviled egg sides were excellent. Charcuterie sampler board was very tasty and presentation was stylish. Décor is a little funky but nice. Tables well spaced and service was outstanding. Lots of staff running around, but they seemed well coordinated. Wine list hefty and expensive. Sampled a couple - both very good very highly marked up. Highly recommended for a certain kind of person (Whole Foods fan, wine geek, culinary tourist, etc.) Not for all tastes or wallets.

The food was very good. Our waitress was superb, and made the whole experience fun. She was also very helpful, and even remembered to write down the name of the wine for us that we liked so much. She was attentive without being intrusive. Foccacia was amazing!

My partner and I went to Ripple on our first anniversary, and are so glad we did. We were warmly greeted, had a special menu that wished us a happy anniversary, and we got a candle in our dessert. The food was creative and heavenly. We both loved all the dishes we had, particularly the lamb tartare, goat, and olive oil cake, and would absolutely return.

The appetizers and entrees were all excellent. The two in our party who ordered the crab dish raved about the fresh, bold flavors. The saffron spaghetti was also outstanding.
Our server was attentive, and we liked the atmosphere. However, the desserts took an inordinate amount of time (at least a half hour) and we were all extremely disappointed once they finally arrived. We very much appreciated that the manager removed them from our bill since we had to sit there so long because these desserts were definitely not worth the wait. The chocolate rye cake was particularly disappointing--utterly dry.
Still, the apps and main courses were so good, we would return...and order the cheese plate instead of dessert!

The service was very slow and some if the food pairing was odd. I have a food allergy and they served the cheese plate with peaches and cucumbers because I couldn't eat the flat bread. It was a nice gesture, but neither went with what we ordered and tasted terrible with our selections.
We ordered the milk and cookies for dessert. We waited 29 min to hear that the chef was new and he broiled the cookies versus baking then. Rather than let us advise whether or not we wanted the dessert, they started a new batch, which were also burnt. So we waited over a half hour for a burnt dessert when all we really wanted to do was leave.
Last, the server was very polite, but rather than take our full order, she decided to space it out and wouldn't put it in the next part of the order until we finished a course. The dinner was over 2 hours long for an appetizer, entree and dessert.

I was traveling for business and took an Uber to Ripple by myself. I sat at the bar. It was a Tuesday night and fairly quiet. I had the beef tartare appetizer which was ok - the dill overpowered the flavor of the beef. For my main entree I had ricotta cavatelli with braised goat which was phenomenal!

Came here from out of town for our anniversary. The manager made sure that the staff was aware and the service was very personable and attentive. Excellent food and wine. Wish we had this restaurant in ou neighborhood!

Came to ripple once before and ordered their farmer's breakfast, which I recall was quite good and told myself that I must come back to his place. Since I hadn't gotten together with a couple of my foodie buddies in a while, I suggested that we have a sunday brunch here. One friend and I ordered the codester, which is ripple's fried chicken platter with over easy eggs and gravy on a biscuit, and another one ordered farmer's breakfast. All of us noticed that their potatoes were bit too salty and the gravy on fried chicken was quite salty, too. This was certainly shocking to say the least as I was not expecting this from a farm-to-table concept restaurant like ripple...
We also ordered their bloody mary but it was just decent. Truth be told, I expected it to at least match the quality of bloody mary's I order at founding farmers, if not better.
I politely asked our waitress to give our feedback to the chef regarding the over-saltiness of our dishes. It is a bummer to have to write this review as I would really want to return to this place sooner than later, but this dining experience is making me hesitant to want to return again in near future.

I love eating here. We all do. Everyone can find something delicious on the menu-- although it can be a little tough for the meat and potatoes types who are used to having at least one "simple" salad (e.g. caesar like) for example. Otherwise, the fried eggplant was particularly delicious, the lamb tartar was good, but one of us thought it was a little lost in its accompaniments, and the new pasta dish on the menu disappeared without pause. We all only wish that the wine list wasn't quite so expensive.

Loved the decor. The staff was very pleasant and likeable. But I wasn't a huge fan of the brunch. The food tasted just okay and left a lot to be desired. Their dinner menu is much more elaborate and creative so if I come back it will most likely be for dinner :)

Ripple has an amazing charcuterie/cheese specialist and with four of us, we each got delicious tastes of the pate (the one with a sort of corn in it), prosciutto, etc. and various cheeses with dabs of mustard, honey, or other flavors, very nicely presented. Two of us ordered steak, one ordered fish, another pork; seemed like the pork dish was the most interesting, but I really enjoyed the steak which was slightly more crusty/well-done on the outside than expected. The panecotta and the berry pie desserts were also excellent. The $39 bottle of rose was fresh and complex. Ripple is a pleasant, spacious place to dine, somehow both elegant and homey (furnished simply but the walls are textured with rosettes, large "ripples." The service is much more professional, like a dance team, than in much of DC.

We had a very enjoyable meal at Ripple--loved the ambience--its special feeling without being stuffy. Although I have several food allergies, they were more than happy to accommodate. If I were to offer one critique it would be that too many of the dishes we chose happened to be a bit acidic/vinegary--this is both a failure of the menu, but also the server, who could have said, "Hey, you have selected quite a few dishes that have a similar flavor profile--you might want to try..." I can't fault her entirely, however, because, as I said, I am limited in terms of food allergies.
Our top dish was a lovely skate wing and a heirloom tomato salad--both were outstanding; the least memorable was a crab dish that was overwhelmed by vinegar and the herbed red snapper, which came with a broth that diminished rather than elevated the dish.

We had the duck confit and the goat dishes. Both were very good. The very best thing we had was their freshly baked bread. Don't pass it up. The only negative was the loud group next to us. Unfortunately, that seems to be par for the area. Otherwise a very pleasant dinner.

I heard so many great things about Ripple prior to dining there. After dining there the other evening I was a bit underwhelmed. It wasn't a terrible experience, but I expected much more. They have great craft cocktails and an extensive unique wine list (and knowledgeable staff about the wines), but the food disappointed a bit. We ordered the prosciutto and cheddar fritters, but you could not taste the prosciutto at ALL. I ordered the goat which our server said was the best item on the menu. It was decent, but could have been cooked a bit more (particularly since it is a very gamey meat). It was more on the side of medium rare. The other people in my party ordered the steak and skate which they enjoyed. The side of mushrooms was also good.

Excellent meal, and more importantly, fantastic service. Our server was kind, courteous, prompt, and responsive. We had an issue with an overcooked entree, and she took care of it professionally and apologetically. From the focaccia to the seasonal berry crumble, every course was made and plated with care and skill. Will definitely return and hope to be seated in her section again.

Ripple continues to be one of my favorite restaurants anywhere. Marjorie's food is inventive, interesting, and above all delicious. Ari, who has taken over the front of the house from Danny, is a gracious host and has put together a friendly, knowledgeable team. A+

First off the service was excellent. Uncannily every time I went to Google a word from the description of the menu items, the server popped up at my side to answer the question in person. The dishes were creative , attractively presented, and very tasty. I was a little disappointed that in the middle of the summer that the menu was so mushroom-centric. As a person who can't eat mushrooms this limits some of the options. However the duck liver parfait was delicious. The Crudo appetizer was delicious. The Branzino was delicious. And the desserts were delightful as well. We started with a little bit of charcuterie and cheese. Moved on to mains and dessert. The drink list was very creative as well. Overall it was a very positive experience.

Ripple is a constant favorite and go-to restaurant for my husband and me. The food is consistently good, the service is always awesome, the wines are interesting, and the atmosphere comfortable and a little bit special. Chef Marjorie rocks! (I'm a Top Chef fan!)

I had high hopes for this well-known spot with seasonal orderings, however the food was simply average especially given the cost. While the wine and cheese lists were great, the dinner menu had basic options that were overly salty and oily. The ambiance is strange--it feels like a neighborhood place but has the price of a nicer restaurant.
